Dandy Krazy, one of Zambia’s most beloved musicians, tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a road accident on New Year’s Eve.
The 47-year-old artist, known in real life as Wesley Chibambo, was involved in a collision in the Kapiri Mposhi region. His vehicle struck both a truck and another car.
The accident claimed the lives of three individuals at the scene. Despite being rushed to the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka for emergency surgery, Dandy Krazy succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Thursday.
Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema highlighted the impact of Krazy’s music, referring to him as an “extraordinary artist.”
In a heartfelt tribute, Hichilema acknowledged that “his music and charisma touched lives far and wide, crossing all boundaries and bringing people together.”
