- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 scotch bonnet pepper
- 4 parsley sprigs
Meat Seasoning Spices:
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp thyme
- 2 shallots (diced)
- 1 tsp Adobo seasoning salt
- 2 Maggi chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Preparation Instructions:
- Marinate the beef overnight or for at least 1 hour with chosen spices.
- Place seasoned meat in a stockpot with water, adding olive oil, and allow it to boil over high heat.
- Keep covered until the water evaporates, then uncover and stir occasionally to brown the meat.
- Remove meat from the pot and set aside, maintaining the flavorful juices for the soup.
- Chop the scallion and cabbage, then peel and chop all remaining vegetables.
- Add the chopped vegetables to a separate pot of boiling water and cook for about an hour.
- Once tender, blend some of the cooked squash with the cooking water into a puree.
- Combine the puree, remaining vegetables, and herbs back into the pot with the meat drippings, and add broken spaghetti.
- Cook until everything is tender, then serve hot for a warm, comforting meal.
