To gear up for the highly anticipated launch, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is set to conduct a technical alpha later this month. The development team is actively seeking adept test pilots to rigorously evaluate the game. However, only PC setups meeting specific performance requirements will be eligible.
The developer, Asobo Studio, has stated that participants need to provide detailed specifications of their PCs for consideration in the technical alpha. Last month, the team outlined the minimum, recommended, and ideal PC requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, with the highest tier demanding substantial capabilities, including 64GB of RAM.
It’s important to note that while the technical alpha aims to assess various functionalities like content streaming and live weather data, it will not focus on collecting feedback about the game’s overall design or features.
Another significant advancement in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is its drastically reduced storage requirement. The sequel will occupy roughly 30GB of space, which is just one-fifth of its predecessor’s 150GB footprint, making it more accessible for gamers.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 was unveiled during the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase. Premium preorders are currently available, and the game is scheduled for release on November 19, creating excitement among flight simulation enthusiasts and gamers alike.
