NEW LISBON, Wis. — Authorities announced the capture of a suspect in connection with the tragic murders of a Wisconsin woman and two young girls.
The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the suspect’s arrest on Thursday, though details regarding the circumstances of the capture were not disclosed. They did mention an “increased law enforcement presence” in Elroy, approximately 12 miles from New Lisbon, where the crimes took place. Further information related to the arrest is expected to be released soon.
On December 30, Elizabeth Kolba, 33, along with two girls aged 12 and 13, were tragically discovered shot to death in a residence in New Lisbon. According to a criminal complaint, the suspect had prior acquaintance with the victims.
Law enforcement agencies in the area have been actively pursuing the suspect since the incident, collaborating with the FBI and federal marshals throughout the investigation.
