ECNETNews reports that Spotify has introduced an innovative feature that creates an offline playlist tailored to users’ listening habits.
Unveiled by the audio streaming giant, the “Offline Backup” feature enhances the existing download capability, allowing users to enjoy music, podcasts, and audiobooks without an internet connection.
Spotify aims to personalize AI playlists for every occasion
The Offline Backup feature automatically generates playlists by utilizing recently streamed tracks, queued songs, and any downloaded content. Similar to Spotify’s “daylist” feature, these playlists update continuously based on listening preferences, with options to filter by artist, mood, or genre.

If your device is offline or set to airplane mode, the Offline Backup playlist will automatically appear in the Home tab of Spotify.
To access this feature, ensure you have the latest app update, have listened to at least five songs recently, and have enabled offline listening by navigating to Settings > “Data Saving and Offline” > “Offline Access”.
This latest enhancement follows Spotify’s recent rollout of daylists to all users and expands its global access to AI playlists for Premium subscribers.
