The highly anticipated concert special celebrating the 50th season of Saturday Night Live is set to feature an impressive lineup, including Robyn, Devo, Lady Gaga, Jack White, and Bad Bunny. The event, titled SNL50: The Homecoming Concert, will stream live, kicking off at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on February 14.
Joining the all-star lineup are renowned artists such as Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, David Byrne, Eddie Vedder, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Post Malone, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the B-52’s, and the Roots. Fans can expect more artist announcements leading up to the concert.
Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, SNL50: The Homecoming Concert is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson and will take place at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall.
Notably, Bonnie Raitt holds the record for the earliest performance on SNL, having made her debut in January 1978. Other returning favorites include Devo, who last graced the stage in 1978, and David Byrne, who began his journey with Talking Heads in 1979. The B-52’s made their first appearance in 1980, while Eddie Vedder played with Pearl Jam in 1992. Most recently, Jelly Roll launched the show’s 50th season in September.
In conjunction with the concert, a new documentary titled Ladies & Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music has been released, showcasing the show’s musical legacy through interviews and performances.
