In a significant boost to Maharashtra’s infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a series of projects valued at over ₹50,000 crore this Saturday. The highlight of the event will be the first phase of the Mumbai Metro Line-3 from BKC to Aarey JVLR, an investment of approximately ₹14,120 crore. This phase will include 10 stations, with 9 planned underground, and aims to accommodate nearly 12 lakh passengers daily once fully operational.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate five solar parks in Washim, with a total output capacity of 19 MW. He will also provide the 18th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, distributing around ₹20,000 crore to approximately 9.4 crore farmers, as stated by the Prime Minister’s office.
During his one-day visit to the state, PM Modi will launch the 5th installment of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, disbursing about ₹2,000 crore. This includes funding for 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), totaling over ₹1,920 crore.
Moreover, in Thane, he will lay the foundation for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, costing around ₹12,200 crore, spanning a total of 29 km with 20 elevated and 2 underground stations. The foundation stone for the Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension from Chheda Nagar to Anand Nagar, valued at around ₹3,310 crore, will also be laid.
Furthermore, the foundation for Phase-1 of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project, estimated at ₹2,550 crore, will be established, along with a project for the Thane Municipal Corporation costing approximately ₹700 crore.
