The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, announced on Saturday that Nigerians can anticipate the positive outcomes of President Bola Tinubu’s efforts over the past 17 months. Gbajabiamila emphasized that a refreshed President Tinubu is ready to steer the nation towards progress.
This statement came as President Tinubu returned to Abuja Saturday night after a two-week working leave spent in the United Kingdom and France.
“He’s back to continue advancing our policies and ensuring that we move in the right direction,” stated Gbajabiamila. “As the leader, he is determined to reach a cruising altitude for the country’s development, and soon Nigerians will witness the benefits of our combined efforts.”
He encouraged the public to remain optimistic, noting that the President is committed to fulfilling his promises.
President Tinubu’s aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at approximately 7:20 pm on Saturday. He was welcomed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and various senior government officials.
Prior to this, Tinubu departed for his two-week leave on Wednesday, October 2, during which he was expected to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms while balancing work and rest.
On October 11, it was revealed that President Tinubu traveled from the UK to Paris, France, for significant discussions.
Gbajabiamila reiterated the importance of the President’s break, explaining, “Given the demanding nature of his work, this rest was essential. He has returned rejuvenated and ready to tackle the challenges ahead.”
The President was also greeted upon his return by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, other government officials, and key members of the ruling party, underscoring the collaborative efforts moving forward.
