After performing select tracks live, Phil Elverum has revealed his first new Mount Eerie album in six years, titled Night Palace. The highly anticipated album will be released on November 1 through Elverum’s own label. The singles “I Walk” and “Broom of Wind” are leading the release, with the latter featuring an accompanying music video.
Fans have already had a taste of the new material, as Elverum previously shared the song “Huge Fire” on a compilation album. Additionally, he contributed a demo version of “& Sun (Early)” to a charity compilation supporting Palestine.
In conjunction with the album launch, Mount Eerie has scheduled two live performances this November in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
Elverum’s last full-length project as Mount Eerie was Lost Wisdom, Pt. 2, a collaborative effort with Julie Doiron in 2019. During the early days of the pandemic, he revived the Microphones for the album Microphones in 2020.
Stay tuned for updates on Night Palace and the upcoming shows.
