Emergency Landing for Trichy to Sharjah Flight Due to Technical Glitch
A flight from Tiruchirappalli to Sharjah was forced to make an emergency landing back at Tiruchirappalli International Airport on the evening of October 11, 2024, following a mid-air technical failure shortly after takeoff.
According to Airport Director G. Gopalakrishnan, the Air India Express flight (AXB 613) encountered issues with its landing gear, prompting its return. The aircraft circled above the airport for over two hours before successfully landing, with all passengers reported safe.
