Last month, Megan Thee Stallion submitted a petition for a restraining order against Tory Lanez, who is currently serving a prison sentence for shooting her multiple times in 2020. In a recent court hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard Bloom formally granted the restraining order, which will remain in effect for five years.
Megan Thee Stallion appeared via video for her testimony, expressing, “I want my restraining order because I haven’t been at peace since I [was] shot. I’m just a nervous wreck all the time.”
In the petition, she stated that Lanez has reportedly been using third parties to harass her while incarcerated. She also alleged that he has been collaborating with online personalities to spread false information about the case and undermine her credibility. At the time of filing, the existing protective order aimed at preventing further harassment had expired.
