After a successful return in February with her single “Love in Real Life,” Lizzo is back with another exciting release, “Still Bad.” The track showcases Lizzo’s creative talent as she co-produced it alongside longtime collaborator Ricky Reed and Blake Slatkin. The song features contributions from renowned musicians, including guitarist Nate Mercereau and drummer Victor Indrizzo.
The music video for “Still Bad,” directed by Collin Tilley, presents a visually captivating experience. Lizzo is seen reclining on a striking white car, similar to her previous release’s aesthetic. The video takes a dramatic turn as she is drenched in fake blood and finds herself in a dark forest, pursued by eerie silver figures with bird-like beaks who join her as backup dancers.
“Love in Real Life” is notable as Lizzo’s first major release since her feature in the soundtrack for the Barbie movie and occurs amidst her legal challenges with ex-employees. This track also serves as the title piece for Lizzo’s upcoming album, which is eagerly anticipated as a follow-up to her 2022 release, Special.
