What if the Roman Empire had never fallen and instead harnessed the power of gasoline and gatling guns? This intriguing premise is at the heart of “Dieseldome: Oil And Blood,” the latest offering from Turkish developer GHST Studios. A new demo for the game has just been released as part of Steam Next Fest.
“Dieseldome” combines exhilarating gameplay elements reminiscent of classic titles such as Doom and Vampire Survivors, placing players in the role of a gladiator facing their doom in epic combat. Players must navigate through hordes of enemies in rapid-fire, first-person battles, where agility and quick reflexes are key. The game allows players to bounce off obstacles and run along walls, adding a dynamic layer to each skirmish.
In “Dieseldome,” defeating enemies, completing parkour-style challenges, and winning quests—referred to as “bets”—earns players experience points (XP), which can be used to activate powerful upgrades for subsequent runs. Players will also earn in-game money, which can be spent on permanent enhancements for future gameplay.
As part of Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 14-21, 2024, gamers can explore a variety of emerging indie titles including “Dieseldome.” The upcoming event showcases innovative games, like the murder mystery “The Rise Of The Golden Idol” and the 3D-platformer “Virballs.”
While an official release window for “Dieseldome: Oil And Blood” has yet to be announced, the demo is now available for download, inviting players to dive into this captivating alternate history adventure.
