Actor James Woods reports that his residence in Pacific Palisades has survived the devastating wildfires raging through Los Angeles.
In a post Friday, Woods expressed his relief, stating, “A miracle has happened. We managed to get to our property and our home, that we were told is gone forever, is still standing.”
He acknowledged the extent of the damage, adding, “In this hellish landscape ‘standing’ is relative, but smoke and other damage is not like the utter destruction around us.”
This week, Woods was among the countless residents who evacuated as the fires grew more aggressive. He shared regular updates, showing the aftermath of nearby homes, initially fearing that his property would not survive.
Woods expressed gratitude to his supporters, saying, “So many beautiful messages from all of you. I’m so happy and grateful, but honestly the entire area looks like the dark side of the moon.”
The wildfires have also impacted numerous celebrities, with reports of damaged or destroyed homes, including those of several high-profile individuals. Tragically, at least 10 lives have been lost, with thousands of buildings and vehicles engulfed in flames.
