Yokozuna Terunofuji G.Gan-Erdene started strong but faced setbacks and withdrew on Day 5 due to injury concerns after two losses in the opening rounds. He notably lost against Tobizaru yesterday, leaving his record at two wins and two losses so far.
Ozeki Hoshoryu S.Byambasuren is on a quest for promotion to Yokozuna. As of Day 4, he boasts three wins and one loss, showcasing impressive skills. He secured a victory against Takanosho yesterday, positioning himself favorably in the tournament. A win in this basho could earn him the coveted yokozuna title.
Former Ozeki Kirishima B.Lkhagvasuren is determined to regain his rank after being demoted due to injury. He has displayed tenacity with a record of two wins and two losses up to Day 4, including a notable victory over ozeki Kotozakura, who is also in contention for the yokozuna title.
Undefeated wrestlers include Chiyoshoma G.Mukhsaikhan and Tamavashi B.Munkh-Orgil. Other highlights include Oshoma P.Delgerbayar’s victory over Mitakeumi, and Onokatsu B.Choijilsuren’s win against Midorifuji. Unfortunately, Tamashoho E. Enkhmanlai suffered a loss.
