ECNETNews has confirmed that Charlie Cox, known for his iconic role as Daredevil, is set to star in one of the highly anticipated upcoming MCU Avengers films.
Cox, who portrayed Matt Murdock across all three seasons of the acclaimed Daredevil series and The Defenders, made a triumphant return as Daredevil in recent Marvel projects, including 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home and 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The actor will also lend his voice to the character in the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, ahead of the release of the new Daredevil series, Daredevil: Born Again, slated to premiere in March.
Recent updates indicate that Cox will make an appearance in an upcoming ensemble Avengers film, which is generating significant buzz among fans.
In a recent post, it was revealed, “It’s been fantastic having Charlie and his wife, Sam, in our training sessions! Charlie is currently preparing for his role in the upcoming Avengers movie where he will reprise his role as Daredevil. We can’t wait to see him on the big screen!”
Will Charlie Cox Appear in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars?
The specific Avengers film featuring Cox’s Daredevil has not yet been disclosed, as both 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars are still in the pre-production phase.
Anthony and Joe Russo, renowned for their work on major Marvel titles such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Endgame, will direct both films.
Notable returns to the MCU include Robert Downey Jr., who will portray Doctor Doom rather than his iconic Tony Stark character. The main cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps—featuring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach—will also make appearances, alongside Chris Evans in an undisclosed role for Doomsday.
Mark your calendars: Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars following closely on May 7, 2027.
