This month marks a significant return for Lego fans, as the latest DC release features the first Superman building set in over ten years. The new set, titled Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor, joins an exclusive collection of Superman-themed Lego products. While there have been a few minifigure releases, including keychains, this is the first official building set since 2012, when Superman faced off against Power Armor Lex. The only other building set was a Duplo playset introduced in 2014. With a new Superman film set to debut in July, the timing for this release couldn’t be better.
Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor is part of three new DC Lego sets launched this month, alongside a small-scale playset featuring Batman and the iconic Batmobile Tumbler from The Dark Knight series.
In total, there are three exciting new DC Lego building sets available for fans. This launch is part of Lego’s extensive lineup set for 2025, which includes over 100 new releases ranging from Marvel to Star Wars and beyond.
In addition to the Superman Mech set, fans can explore various options, including:
-
Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor Set – Retailing at $15, this 120-piece kit allows fans to engage in imaginative play as Superman pilots a mech to take on Lex Luthor. This figure follows a wave of popular buildable mech figures released by Lego in recent years.
-
Batman Tumbler vs. Two-Face and The Joker Set – Priced at $60, this set is a more accessible option compared to the retired large-scale Batmobile model. It includes three minifigures: Batman, The Joker, and Two-Face, along with a Bat-Signal projector, making it a must-have for collectors.
- Batman and Batmobile vs. Mr. Freeze Playset – Available for $20, this playset is aimed at younger audiences. It includes 63 pieces and is perfect for introducing the beloved Batman universe to new fans.
These new sets bring fresh excitement to the Lego DC universe, appealing to both collectors and young fans alike.
