Based on a true story, Sallywood follows one man’s unexpected encounter with legendary actress Sally Kirkland. After impressively securing over 38 awards during its festival run, this captivating film is set for a limited theatrical release in California.
What happens in the Sallywood trailer?
The trailer introduces viewers to Zack, who embarks on a journey to Los Angeles and coincidentally meets Sally Kirkland. In a twist of fate, Zack is hired on the spot as her assistant, which opens the door to an extraordinary insight into Kirkland’s life and career.
The film’s official synopsis reveals, “Based on the true story of a young writer from rural Maine, Zack is inspired by Sally Kirkland’s acclaimed performance in the film Anna. Courageously, he makes the drive across the country in pursuit of his Hollywood dreams. Upon arrival, he encounters his lifelong idol and is hired to help revive her struggling career, aiming to restore her to the limelight.”
