Nigeria’s D’Tigress achieved a remarkable victory against Australia’s Opals, winning 75-62 in women’s basketball at the Paris Olympics. This significant win took place at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium.
Point guard Ezinne Kalu showcased an outstanding performance, leading the Rena Wakama-coached team to hold off a late comeback attempt from the Australians.
This triumph marks Nigeria’s first Olympic win in women’s basketball since the Athens 2004 Games.
