Enel Expands Workforce to Tackle Energy Outages in São Paulo
Enel has committed to hiring an additional 700 electricians, increasing its workforce from 1,800 to 2,500 professionals in the field to address the ongoing energy shortages in São Paulo and the metropolitan area.
In addition to Enel’s efforts, other energy companies including Neonergia, Energisa, CPFL, and Light will send 400 more electricians, bringing the total number of personnel working on the restoration of the power system in São Paulo to nearly 3,000. This operation will be supported by over 200 vehicles and 50 pieces of equipment.
This initiative follows pressure from the Minister of Mines and Energy for an immediate solution to the energy crisis.
This marks the third serious incident involving Enel, and sources indicate that the Minister will now push for further evaluation of the concessionaire’s operational status by the regulatory agency.
