As interest in the latest gaming technology surges, enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating groundbreaking releases at CES, the nation’s premier gadget showcase.
Every January, CES unveils an array of innovative gaming monitors, with this year promising futuristic designs from leading brands. LG and Samsung are expected to make significant contributions to the gaming monitor landscape, with more previews emerging in the coming days.
LG Unveils Bendable Gaming Monitors
LG Electronics is gearing up to reveal its UltraGear GX9 series at CES 2025, featuring two impressive 45-inch 21:9 gaming monitors, the 45GX990A and 45GX950A. These monitors are designed for immersive gameplay with ultra-high 5K2K resolution, providing expansive screen real estate and enhanced compatibility. Users can customize their experience with Dual-Mode, adjusting aspect ratios and picture sizes. Notably, the curved design aims to reduce eye strain, improving overall comfort during gaming sessions.
The UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor stands out as the first gaming monitor with a bendable 5K2K-resolution OLED display, allowing users to transition from a flat screen to a 900R curvature in mere seconds. A representative from LG emphasized that “the GX9 lineup pushes the boundaries to deliver maximum value and enjoyment for our customers.”
Samsung’s AI-Powered OLED Gaming Monitors
Samsung is set to impress with its new Odyssey OLED G81SF and Odyssey OLED G60SF, each featuring 27-inch 4K displays. The Odyssey OLED G81SF boasts a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz alongside an astonishing response time of 0.03ms, providing a glare-free viewing experience. Samsung has proudly announced that this model is the first-ever 27” 4K OLED gaming monitor.
On the other hand, the Odyssey OLED G60SF is highlighted as the “first-ever OLED screen with a 500Hz refresh rate.” Additionally, Samsung plans to showcase the Odyssey 3D G90XF gaming monitor at CES, promoting a customizable 3D experience that eliminates the need for 3D glasses.
While not solely a gaming monitor, the Smart Monitor M90SF introduces industry-first on-device AI features that analyze input signals to optimize display settings based on the content being viewed. This innovation aims to enhance the visual experience for gamers while also positioning itself as a versatile tool for video and productivity needs.
