Darkside has officially announced the release of their highly anticipated third studio album, Nothing, set to drop on February 28. The band, consisting of Nicolás Jaar, Dave Harrington, and newly added drummer Tlacael Esparza, will embark on their first North American tour in over a decade following the album’s launch.
The trio has shared a new single from the album titled “S.N.C,” accompanied by an immersive music video. Fans can view the captivating video and explore the album art and tracklist details below.
Nothing marks a follow-up to Darkside’s 2021 release, Spiral. The creative process for the new album began in 2022 when the band rented a space in northeast Los Angeles known as "The Spiral House." During the summer, they spent countless hours rehearsing and improvising, leading to the album’s unique sound.
Recording for Nothing took place during a 2023 tour—their first since 2014. The band recorded a portion of the album in a studio in the south of France, with additional sessions in studios located in Los Angeles and Paris.
