The film, now available for digital and on-demand viewing, tells the story of a recent parolee who seeks the help of a Mexican witch to resurrect his old gang in order to save a woman’s ranch from a powerful drug lord.
Trejo, who portrays Santana Bravo, expressed his enthusiasm for the character and the film’s unique blend of humor and horror. “It combines laughter with scary moments, making it an exciting ride,” he said.
Working alongside a talented cast, including Efren Ramirez, Trejo described a strong camaraderie on set. Trejo’s journey in the film industry has also included opportunities for his children. He noted how he has taken his son and daughter to movie sets since they were young, with his son’s passion for filmmaking leading him to become involved in production roles.
In addition, Trejo voiced a character in the popular video game, *Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth*, where players can see a digital rendition of him. “It’s surreal having kids recognize me from the game and joke about dying at my hands,” he commented.
Danny Trejo’s positive outlook and deep gratitude remain evident throughout his career. He emphasized that experiencing life behind bars brought him an appreciation for his acting career, which he views as an incredible gift. “I’ve been out for 50 years, and I still have immense gratitude for the opportunities I’ve had,” Trejo stated.
