Dhanin Chearavanont, the senior chairman of the Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, has been named Thailand’s wealthiest individual on the ECNETNews Billionaires 2025 list, with a net worth of $15.2 billion. He ranks 141st among the 3,028 billionaires globally.
The United States leads the billionaire count with 902, followed by China with 516, and India with 205. Thailand accounts for 25 billionaires in total.
Notably, 15 individuals across the globe have fortunes of at least $100 billion, according to the latest data.
In Thailand, Dhanin is succeeded by Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO of Gulf Development Plc, who is worth $12.9 billion and ranks 184th worldwide. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, chairman of Thai Beverage Plc, takes the third spot with a net worth of $11.7 billion, placing him 210th globally.
Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is ranked 15th among Thailand’s wealthiest, positioned at 1,688th on the global list with a fortune of $2.1 billion.
At the top of the global list is Elon Musk, co-founder of Tesla, with a staggering net worth of $342 billion. He is followed by Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, valued at $216 billion, and Jeff Bezos of Amazon, with $215 billion.
