Chief Justice of India, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, made his inaugural visit to the iconic Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday, where he participated in a prayer session at the revered hilltop shrine.
Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed with traditional honors at the main entrance by the Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), J Syamala Rao, and Additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary, accompanied by Vedic chants.
During his visit, Justice Khanna was presented with the sacred cloth known as Sesha Vastram and received Vedic blessings (Vedaseervachanam) at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. He also received Theertha Prasadam (holy water) and a laminated photograph of Lord Venkateswara, as reported by TTD officials.
Just a day before visiting Tirumala, Justice Khanna attended prayers at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor on Saturday.
