Chappell Roan has officially withdrawn from her scheduled performances at the All Things Go festival this weekend. The rising pop sensation was set to grace the stage during the festival’s New York edition on Saturday, September 28, and the Columbia, Maryland, edition on Sunday, September 29. In a heartfelt message, Roan expressed, “Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it. I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible.”
Recently, Roan has shared insights into the challenges of sudden fame, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking in politics. She stated, “There’s problems on both sides. I encourage people to use your critical thinking skills, use your vote—vote small, vote for what’s going on in your city.” She confirmed her intention to vote for the Democratic candidate in the upcoming U.S. presidential election but clarified, “Endorsing and voting are completely different.”
Roan’s debut album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” was released last year, and her latest single, “Good Luck, Babe!”, has significantly broadened her audience. Fans can look forward to seeing her perform on a prominent television stage in November.
In her statement, Roan apologized to her fans awaiting her performances, saying, “I need a few days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox.”
In response, All Things Go shared their disappointment regarding Roan’s cancellation, emphasizing the importance of health and well-being in the music industry. They expressed their support for Roan, encouraging fans to rally around her during this challenging time, showcasing that music lovers value not just the art, but the artists behind it.
