Fresh off securing his Canadian visa, Banton will grace the stage at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, marking his first Canadian performance in over 15 years. The iconic musician, known affectionately as “The Gargamel,” expressed his enthusiasm about reconnecting with Canadian fans.
“This means I have a chance to present the culture and Buju Banton to Canadians once more. Performing for the masses is always a joy, but Canada is a special place for us Maroons,” he stated.
The Toronto concert is part of Banton’s North American arena tour, which follows a series of successful U.S. shows, including two sold-out performances in New York City. This tour signifies his return after a lengthy 13-year hiatus from the U.S. stage.
As he prepares for his upcoming Intimate Concert on January 4, 2025, at Plantation Cove in St. Ann, Banton is also focused on his Overcomer Tour, which will continue with stops in major cities like Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, and more throughout 2025.
