Bright Eyes has officially announced an extensive tour for 2025, coinciding with the release of a new single titled “Rainbow Overpass” from their upcoming album Five Dice, All Threes. This vibrant track features horns and gang vocals, bringing a fresh energy to their sound.
Band member Conor Oberst shared insights into the creative process behind “Rainbow Overpass,” highlighting the unique collaboration: “Alex is like my hype man, infusing some Beastie Boys energy! Their punk rock roots inspire bursts of different voices, which adds to the track’s vibrancy. I aimed to inject that live energy into the recording process.”
Alongside upcoming performances already scheduled for fall in the U.S. and Europe, Bright Eyes is expanding their tour in 2025 with a series of concerts, kicking off in Phoenix, Arizona on January 16 and concluding on April 26 in West Des Moines, Iowa. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
In addition to the contributions from Alex Orange Drink, who has co-written several tracks, Five Dice, All Threes features guest appearances by Cat Power and Matt Berninger from the National. This album marks their return following the 2020 album Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was, and includes the lead single “Bells and Whistles” released earlier this June.
