Boeing has announced a donation of $1 million to the inauguration fund for President-elect Donald Trump, reinforcing its commitment to supporting U.S. Presidential Inaugural Committees. This contribution marks Boeing’s fourth consecutive donation to such funds, amidst ongoing efforts to recover from a safety and quality control crisis.
The upcoming inauguration, which will signify the commencement of Trump’s second term, is scheduled for January 20. Boeing is also engaged in the construction of the new presidential aircraft, known as Air Force One, with plans to have the two jets operational as early as next year.
In addition to Boeing, several major American corporations, including leading tech firms, have also committed donations. Alongside Google, which has joined the ranks of tech giants contributing to the fund, companies such as Meta, Amazon, and Ford have each pledged $1 million. Automotive leaders General Motors and Toyota are similarly among the contributors.
Chevron, a key player in the energy sector, confirmed its support for the inaugural fund but did not disclose the amount donated. A representative emphasized the company’s tradition of supporting inaugural committees across party lines, reinforcing the importance of democratic celebrations.
With a growing list of corporate supporters, the inaugural fund showcases significant financial backing as it prepares for the upcoming event.
