Arsenal staged a thrilling comeback, scoring three goals in just seven minutes to secure a stunning 4-3 victory against West Ham in a Women’s Super League showdown.
West Ham took an early lead, with Amber Tysiak netting twice in the first 12 minutes. Chloe Kelly managed to reduce the deficit just before halftime, giving Arsenal hope as they entered the break trailing 2-1.
The visitors looked set for an upset when Shekiera Martinez made it 3-1 in the 51st minute. However, Arsenal responded swiftly. Katie McCabe scored from a difficult angle in the 56th minute, catching goalkeeper Kinga Szemik off guard at her near post.
Just two minutes later, Leah Williamson equalized with a powerful header from a corner, which Szemik could only deflect onto the crossbar, allowing the ball to bounce over the line.
Arsenal continued to push forward and earned a penalty when Kirsty Smith handled the ball in the area. Mariona Caldentey stepped up and confidently found the bottom-left corner, completing the remarkable comeback and sealing the win for Arsenal.
