A Jaguar fighter aircraft from the Indian Air Force crashed in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on Wednesday evening, prompting significant concern in the region.
The incident created a massive cloud of smoke that engulfed the area. Eyewitness videos showed burning debris scattered across the crash site.
Local residents rushed to the scene where the injured pilot was seen lying on the ground. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and further updates are forthcoming.
This latest incident follows a similar crash involving a Jaguar fighter jet near Panchkula, Haryana, just a month prior, which was attributed to a system malfunction. In that case, the pilot successfully maneuvered the aircraft away from populated areas before ejecting to safety.
The aircraft involved in the recent crash had taken off from the Ambala airbase for a routine training mission.
