The State government has approved a ₹1 crore bonus for workers of Rehabilitation Plantations Ltd. (RPL) as part of ongoing support amid the downturn in rubber prices. This marks the third instance of financial assistance provided to RPL workers in recent times. Following the decision, workers expressed their gratitude, as the bonus was credited to their accounts starting Friday. The agreement to distribute a 20% bonus was facilitated by Labour Minister V. Sivankutty and received approval through the intervention of Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal.
