Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has announced that the results of the written exams conducted on March 29 and 30, 2025, for applicants seeking job positions will be released on April 25, following submission from an advisory consultant on April 23, 2025.
In a statement on April 2, 2025, the Director of Human Resources Management and Administration, Moshi Kabengwe, indicated that after the announcement of the names, practical examinations and interviews will follow.
Kabengwe revealed that the practical examinations for the positions of drivers and office attendants will take place from May 2 to 4, 2025, while interviews for other positions will be held from May 7 to 9.
Furthermore, he mentioned that successful candidates from this stage will be notified on May 18, 2025, and will begin orientation training from May 22 to June 2, 2025, once hired and officially start their work.
"In this recruitment process, there were 112,952 eligible applications, which increased by 71 following appeals, bringing the total to 113,023. This involved 86,314 applicants, with 78,544 sitting for the written exams, accounting for 91% of all applicants.
"Moreover, 7,770 applicants, or 9%, did not attend the examinations for various reasons. TRA’s policy emphasizes equal employment opportunities for all candidates, ensuring that the recruitment process adheres to the qualifications and criteria of the applicants regardless of their background, whether they are from underprivileged families or public officials. Consequently, examination centers were established across eight regions and Zanzibar to make services more accessible," Kabengwe added.
