The Recording Academy has unveiled the prestigious recipients of the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Awards, recognizing iconic figures in music such as Prince, the Clash, Frankie Beverly, and Roxanne Shanté. Joining them are celebrated talents Frankie Valli, Dr. Bobby Jones, and Taj Mahal. The Trustees Award will be bestowed upon Erroll Garner, Glyn Johns, and Tania León, while the late Dr. Leo Beranek will receive the Technical Grammy.
The Special Merit Awards Ceremony, featuring several posthumous honors, is scheduled for February 1, 2025, just one day prior to the main Grammy gala. Fans can tune in to the live broadcast of the main ceremony, taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025. Last year’s Lifetime Achievement recipients included N.W.A., Laurie Anderson, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight, Tammy Wynette, and the Clark Sisters.
