Samsung is set to launch at least three new foldable smartphones in 2025, hinting at a significant update in their foldable lineup.
Insider information from the latest One UI 7 beta reveals model numbers for upcoming devices, including those expected to debut next year.
The beta software includes details for the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S models, which are projected to debut in January 2025. These devices are expected to be the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Additionally, the codenames uncovered suggest that Samsung is also developing three new foldable devices: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. The identity of the third device remains uncertain but is likely to be a successor to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, potentially named the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition 2.
The original Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, released in October 2024, showcased significant enhancements over the Galaxy Z Fold 6, featuring advanced camera technology and larger display sizes.
Interestingly, the list of model numbers from the One UI 7 beta raises questions, as it notably omits details about the rumored Galaxy S25 Slim and Galaxy Z Flip FE. While these models are not listed, there remains a possibility that they could still be introduced at a later date.
