VIENNA, Austria – The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is set to unveil the 18th edition of its World Oil Outlook (WOO) during ROG.e 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The announcement is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 14:00 Rio de Janeiro time / 19:00 Vienna time in the ‘Palco Petrobras 1’ hall.
HE Haitham Al Ghais, the OPEC Secretary-General, will provide opening remarks, followed by a presentation and video showcasing the report’s key findings. A panel discussion and a Q&A session featuring management and analysts from OPEC’s Research Division will follow.
Initially launched in 2007, the World Oil Outlook serves as OPEC’s flagship publication, delivering comprehensive analysis and insights into the global oil and energy sectors. It assesses medium- and long-term scenarios while addressing crucial issues such as supply and demand dynamics, investment trends, and the implications of policy changes, as well as sustainable development challenges and opportunities in the energy landscape.
HE Al Ghais remarked: “The World Oil Outlook has become an essential reference for industry stakeholders since its inception. It highlights the high-quality research of OPEC and its member countries.
