A driver from Ibadan, Oyo State, Afeez Adedigba, has gained significant attention after being spotted in a viral video wearing his wife’s dress while operating a popular micra taxi. In a recent interview, Adedigba clarified the circumstances that led to his unconventional choice of attire.
Adedigba explained that heavy rainfall had soaked his clothing, leaving him with no option but to wear his wife’s dress to continue working that day. He stated, “I had no choice but to take hers since I was still interested in working that day.” He confirmed that this was not the first instance he had borrowed his wife’s clothing, as he keeps an extra dress in his vehicle for rainy days.
When discussing passengers’ reactions to seeing him in the dress, Adedigba remarked that their comments didn’t affect him, as his primary focus is on providing service and earning a living. “I moved to driving when I couldn’t raise funds to start the sales of tires that I learnt at a tender age,” he explained.
Addressing rumors regarding a confrontation that led to his clothing being torn, he firmly denied such claims and reiterated his commitment to his family, consisting of one wife and four children, stating they motivate him to work hard to meet their needs.
