Kamala Harris Discusses Key Issues in Late Night Interview
During her appearance at New York’s Ed Sullivan Theater, Harris shared a can of beer with the host, noting her choice in beverage. Reflecting on her last beer experience, she stated, “OK, the last time I had beer was at a baseball game with Doug. So, okay, cheers!”
The conversation took a turn towards sports, where the host playfully inquired about her allegiance between Pennsylvania’s NFL teams. In a diplomatic response, Harris identified her favorite team as the San Francisco 49ers, steering clear of the local rivalry.
On the topic of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, Harris advocated for an urgent ceasefire and a deal concerning hostages, emphasizing, “This war has got to end. It has to end.” She recounted her meetings with families of hostages and those impacted by the conflict in Gaza, reiterating the importance of reaching a resolution.
Harris also addressed recent claims made by a notable journalist regarding former President Trump and his alleged communications with Vladimir Putin, including the dispatch of COVID test machines to Russia during the pandemic’s early days. She expressed concern about these actions, questioning Trump’s priorities, stating, “Think about what this means on top of him sending love letters to Kim Jong-un. He thinks, well, that’s his friend. What about the American people? They should be your first friend.”
In response to a provocative question regarding Trump’s election loss in 2020, Harris remarked, “When you lost millions of jobs, you lost manufacturing, you lost automotive plants, you lost the election. What does that make you? A loser.” Drawing from her rally experiences, she added, “I thought it was funny.”
