Wet Leg has officially revealed their highly anticipated sophomore album, Moisturizer, set to release on July 11. The UK band has unveiled the album’s cover art and tracklist, alongside the music video for the lead single, "Catch These Fists."
Wet Leg, consisting of founding members Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, along with bassist Ellis Durand, drummer Henry Holmes, and guitarist/synth player Joshua Mobaraki, took charge in directing the video for the single, which was filmed in their hometown, the Isle of Wight. The visual draws inspiration from acclaimed filmmakers, reflecting the band’s creative vision and connection to their previous work.
Moisturizer follows their celebrated self-titled debut album released in 2022, which won multiple Grammy Awards in 2023. Produced by Dan Carey, the band crafted this new album while residing in the serene coastal town of Southwold in Norfolk, where they spent their days creating music and enjoyed horror films at night. "We were just kind of having fun and exploring," said Chambers. Teasdale emphasized their focus on creating music that would translate well to live performances, describing the writing process as natural and collaborative.
Stay tuned for more updates from Wet Leg as they gear up for the release of Moisturizer this summer.
