The band shared this news on social media, highlighting the taxing nature of live performances on member Deaner’s well-being. They confirmed that the upcoming Chocolate and Cheese 30th anniversary show in Philadelphia, scheduled for next month, has been canceled.
Earlier this year, Ween had unveiled their tour plans in January, which included several performances in the following months. However, many April dates were later canceled. Dean Ween addressed fans at that time, expressing gratitude for a career rooted in passion but acknowledging the need to prioritize his mental and spiritual health. He emphasized the importance of stepping back from live performances to focus on himself and his loved ones, apologizing for any disappointment this may cause to fans who had made travel plans and purchased tickets.
Following three successful shows in early August, a scheduled performance in Seattle on August 6 was also called off. The band expressed their deep disappointment at not being able to perform for their dedicated fanbase, stating, “We love performing for the best fans in the world, and we are beyond disappointed we won’t be able to do these shows.”
