French electronic music duo Justice and rock band Tame Impala have unveiled a vibrant new music video for their collaborative track, "Neverender," featured on Justice’s latest album, Hyperdrama. The visually stunning video boasts a psychedelic animated style, merging elements of vintage Japanese anime with Art Nouveau influences, and was brought to life by talented creators Cekai, Masanobu Hiraoka, Kota Iguchi, and Armand Beraud.
In a recent statement, Justice members Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé expressed their excitement about the project, highlighting its unique visual interpretation. "The ‘Neverender’ music video allowed us to channel various visual influences from our past, enhanced by Masanobu Hiraoka’s distinct perspective," they shared. They further elaborated on the creative inspiration drawn from their childhood, stating, "We looked to the title sequences of the 1980s anime we loved, allowing those nostalgic images, along with influences from Moebius, psychedelic art, and iconic graphic novels, to shape the aesthetic of the video."
Additionally, Justice has announced the release of a "Neverender" remixes EP, which includes the original track, radio edit, extended versions, and exciting reworks from artists like Kaytranada and Keinemusik’s Rampa. Fans can look forward to this EP launching on September 27.
Hyperdrama, marking Justice’s first album in eight years, includes collaborations with Tame Impala on both "Neverender" and "One Night/All Night," along with contributions from artists such as Rimon, the Flints, Connan Mockasin, Miguel, and Thundercat.
