MJ Lenderman & the Wind made waves on late-night television last night with a performance of their single “Wristwatch” from the newly released album Manning Fireworks. This marked Lenderman’s solo late-night TV debut, showcasing his talent alongside backup vocalist Karly Hartzman.
As he celebrates the launch of Manning Fireworks, Lenderman embarks on a significant North American and European tour starting October 3 in Atlanta. The tour will span through the spring of next year, culminating in two exciting shows in Brooklyn at the end of April. Special guest acts include Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band, Hollow Hand, Wild Pink, This Is Lorelei, and Nap Eyes on select dates.
“Wristwatch” is the fourth single from Manning Fireworks, following tracks “Rudolph,” “She’s Leaving You,” and “Joker Lips.” This album, which is a follow-up to Boat Songs, marks Lenderman’s sixth solo project. Since the release of Boat Songs, he has also put out a live album, And the Wind (Live and Loose!), and a reissue of his self-titled solo debut. Lenderman’s collaborative spirit has gained him recognition, performing with artists like Waxahatchee, Kevin Abstract, and Horse Jumper of Love.
Stay tuned for further updates on Lenderman’s upcoming tour and more of his music releases.
