As the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) approaches, Warner Park Cricket Stadium in St Kitts is set to unveil significant renovations, including the addition of a state-of-the-art Jumbotron and upgrades to the lighting system.
The Minister of Sports has shared positive updates on the stadium’s enhancements, emphasizing how these upgrades will greatly improve the experience for fans and players alike.
Minister Duggins commended the local specialists involved in the renovation, showcasing the remarkable talent within St Kitts.
He highlighted that the project is expected to spur economic growth, enhance sporting facilities, and create valuable job opportunities for residents.
Duggins encouraged the community to rally behind the SKN Patriots in the upcoming CPL, stating, “Let’s unite and support our team for an exciting cricket season.”
Warner Park Stadium in St Kitts annually hosts highly anticipated cricket league matches, demonstrating the island’s capability to accommodate both national and international events.
The pitch at Warner Park has historically favored batsmen, making it an ideal cricket venue with excellent playing conditions.
The CPL is set to commence on August 30, 2024, and will run until October 7, 2024, taking place across various picturesque Caribbean locations.
The tournament will kick off at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, followed by matches at Warner Park in St Kitts, as well as venues such as Darr Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia, Kensington Oval in Barbados, Queen’s Park Oval, and Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.
