RUSSIA / VENEZUELA – Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially invited Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to the upcoming BRICS+ meeting scheduled for October 23-24, 2024, in Kazan, Russia.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil confirmed the invitation, noting it came from Russia, which is currently chairing BRICS. Putin stated that Maduro’s attendance would significantly enhance discussions and help pinpoint promising areas for multilateral cooperation, ultimately benefiting the global majority.
According to Putin, BRICS represents a pivotal component of the emerging multipolar world order. He highlighted that Maduro’s involvement would be crucial for fostering progressive relations between Russia and Venezuela.
