CASTRIES, St Lucia – Virgin Atlantic has announced the cancellation of its planned winter flights to Saint Lucia, originally scheduled to commence in October. This decision was confirmed in a recent update regarding the airline’s Caribbean flying programme effective from March 28, 2025.
“In our ongoing efforts to optimize our network, we consistently assess our flight destinations. Starting January 2026, we will increase our direct flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, offering daily service during the peak winter months due to heightened demand,” the airline stated. “Additionally, we are excited to introduce a three-times weekly seasonal winter service to Cancun, Mexico this October.”
Effective immediately, the updates indicate that Virgin Atlantic will be suspending its seasonal service to Saint Lucia, which will not resume in October 2025.
“We are actively working on rebooking options for affected customers and encourage you to check back for further updates,” the statement continued.
“Should you prefer a refund, requests can be made immediately, in line with the guidelines outlined in our Schedule Change Policy.”
“Booking modifications will be processed through your GDS on April 5.”
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers planning to travel to Saint Lucia.”
