A young man from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, tragically suffered a heart attack while escorting his father’s body for funeral rites, leading to a double loss for the family. Laiq Ahmed passed away on March 20 after his health deteriorated at a private nursing home. His son, Atiq, devastated by the loss, refused to accept the doctors’ confirmation of his father’s death and rushed the body to a cardiology hospital.
Despite Atiq’s efforts, doctors confirmed Laiq Ahmed’s passing. As the family transported his body in an ambulance, Atiq followed on his bike. Overcome with grief, he suffered a sudden heart attack and collapsed.
Local residents quickly contacted authorities, and Atiq was rushed to a hospital, but unfortunately, he could not be saved. Both father and son were laid to rest together, leaving their family and community in mourning.
Atiq, the younger of Laiq Ahmed’s two sons, had a close bond with his father. He was married and had a daughter, adding to the family’s profound loss. The funeral took place at the local burial ground, marking a heartbreaking chapter for those who knew them.
