Lynn Avery and Cole Pulice are set to release their highly anticipated new album, Phantasy & Reality, on November 15. This new project follows their successful 2022 collaboration, To Live & Die in Space & Time. The duo has unveiled two tracks from the upcoming ambient jazz album, titled “All That the Air Allows” and “Moonlight in an Empty Room.”
Phantasy & Reality was crafted between 2022 and 2024, with sessions taking place in Oakland, New York, and Minneapolis. The album features notable contributions from upright bassist Charlie Bruber on three tracks, alongside a special appearance by trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire on the song “A Mote of Frozen Eternity.”
In addition to this new release, Lynn Avery, who is known for her solo work under the name Iceblink, has recently reissued her album Carpet Cocoon. Last year, Cole Pulice released a compelling 22-minute composition entitled “If I Don’t See You in the Future, I’ll See You in the Pasture.”
Mark your calendars for November 6, when Cole Pulice will take the stage at EartH Theatre as part of the Pitchfork Music Festival London. Don’t miss out on this exciting performance!
