Universal Studios Hollywood Unveils Fan Fest Nights for Spring 2025
In exciting news from Universal Studios Hollywood, the theme park has officially announced the debut of Fan Fest Nights, an innovative after-hours event set to launch in Spring 2025. This new experience is designed to celebrate sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, and anime without the spookiness typically associated with Halloween Horror Nights.
Fan Fest Nights is a ticketed event that will highlight popular franchises such as Star Trek, Back to the Future, and Dungeons & Dragons. Early details indicate that the Star Trek segment will focus on the franchise’s optimistic vision of the future, while the Back to the Future section will pay homage to the classic 1985 film. The Dungeons & Dragons portion will draw inspiration from the iconic tabletop RPG, which has gained renewed popularity with the recent Honor Among Thieves movie and Baldur’s Gate 3 video game.
Described as a "limited-time, after-hours experience," Fan Fest Nights aims to showcase a dynamic lineup of immersive activities and celebrations throughout the park. Guests can expect live entertainment, cosplay, and a chance to engage with fellow fans by embracing their favorite characters.
Scott Strobl, head of Universal Studios Hollywood, expressed excitement about the new initiative, stating, "We are thrilled about how this breakthrough program will continue to elevate the guest experience in an all-new way."
Attendees can also look forward to themed food options and exclusive merchandise, including collectibles, apparel, and drinkware. While ticket sales and pricing details have yet to be announced, interested fans are encouraged to register on the Fan Fest Nights website for updates.
For those seeking a more traditional thrill, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights will return this year, featuring a new Ghostbusters attraction.
This announcement follows Universal’s unveiling of a new hotel, Helios, at its Orlando park, coinciding with the upcoming Epic Universe opening in 2025.
