Arabs and Muslims in the United States and globally are voicing strong criticism against a controversial video shared by former President Trump on social media. The video, described as AI-generated, portrays Trump alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sunbathing in a fabricated Gaza resort dubbed “TRUMP GAZA,” juxtaposing imagery of destruction with extravagant lifestyles.
The disturbing content depicts children emerging from rubble into a lavish setting filled with palm trees, luxury resorts, and an imposing golden statue of Trump. Additional scenes feature men in drag gyrating on a beach, Trump enjoying a belly dancer, and an individual resembling Elon Musk showered with cash.
This provocative post follows Trump’s previous remarks suggesting the U.S. take control of the Gaza Strip and relocate its Palestinian inhabitants.
In Gaza, where internet access is limited, some residents expressed their outrage over the video. One viewer, 20-year-old Mohamed Abdelrahman, dismissed the notion that they would be enticed by mere statues and money, insisting, “Let us rebuild our homes ourselves.”
Faye Nemer, CEO and Founder of the MENA American Chamber of Commerce in Dearborn, Michigan, criticized the video as “offensive and counterproductive to peace talks.” Once a supporter of Trump, Nemer is urging him to retract the video and issue a “reconciliatory statement.” This response highlights the continuing tensions and complex dynamics surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, emphasizing the need for dialogue over sensationalism.
