In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, authorities arrested three individuals involved in an inter-state drug syndicate during a joint operation led by the Maheshwaram Special Operations Team (SOT) and Adibatla police. The operation resulted in the seizure of 3.8 kg of hashish oil, valued at ₹31 lakh.
The apprehended suspects, identified as Thalapureddy Sudheer (23), Thalapureddy Demullu (26), and Kesamshetty Shankar Rao (26), are all residents of Anakapalli in Andhra Pradesh. They were detained during their recent trip to Hyderabad, where they intended to distribute the illicit substance.
According to Rachakonda Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, the trio acquired the hashish oil from a supplier in Andhra Pradesh and traveled to the outskirts of Hyderabad. Upon arrival at the Outer Ring Road (ORR), they boarded an auto-rickshaw to fulfill an order in Bongulur.
Legal proceedings have commenced under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with ongoing efforts to track down the supplier linked to this operation.
